Ukumehame - West Side Maui
Ukumehame is a secluded beach on the west side of Maui that typically has rideable waves year round. It is a slow rolling reef break that is a great longboard wave for all levels of surfing. A great wave to practice your timing and positioning. Also your cutbacks, bottom turns and nose rides.
Park 200 yards west of the parking lot at Ukumehame beach. Park near the 45 mph speed limit sign on the ocean side of the highway. After you park walk another 20 yards west where your instructor will be parked on the sand under the first set of trees.

North Shore maui
For intermediate and advanced level surfers there are many surfing options on the North shore depending on the conditions and the time of year. Typical months for good waves on the north shore is October through March.
